Euro Plates Installed

Picked these up a couple of months back for my Bitrthday. I just have not got around to sharing them with you all. I know , I know plates on the front of a Mini suck

But if you gotta have em might as well make em look cool. They are my actual TX LIC #. I ran into a couple of Highway Patrol men at -11 one night and all they wanted to know was how much they cost.

Cost $50.00 for the plate and $600 for the frame.

LMK what you all think of them

Very cool IMO. Where did you go to get the plate made?

Isn't that $50 for the plate and $25,000 for the right place to put it?

Just checked NY State DMV, and they make it mandatory that you install 2 license plates in your car, or face a fine of $25-$200...too bad This was a mod I was ready to do.

DSA, do you have a regular Texas plate on the rear of your car? So this was okay with the police you met??? I'm surprised because word was that euro plates might cause trouble because of the State's recent crack down on license plate frames, missing front plates (...and who-knows-what other related issues). For a while there were rumors of Texas euro-plates becoming available, but from what I could tell the effort had died. Any info/thoughts you have would be helpful. If this is do-able...I'm there!!!

Texas requires a front plate too, but if the front plate matches the back plate number wise, I bet they're a little more tolerant. That's my plan anyways.

Where'd you get the bracket for $6.00? I've seen them for $18.00, but not that cheap!

Hey guys Yes I have the regular TX plate on the back without a frame. The euro plae matches my number so I have not been harrassed. As for the link where I got my plates its as follows: http://www.autoplates.com/ki14000.htm

It appears as if the frames went up
