What does MINI use to secure the badges to the outside of the car? I'm creating a custom MINI bicycle and would like to add some authentic badges to the frame. So far I got the bike frame painted to match my car (IB). It looks pretty cool. I'll post pics when it's done.:smile:

 

I believe the front and rear "wing" badges each have two pins that go through holes as well as adhesive. The "Cooper" letters on the hatch are just adhesive.

Sorry - no idea what kind of adhesive is used.

 

The letters are on with double sided tape. Look down at your boot and you can see it between the boot and letter. Silicone works well for sticking the letters if you don't want to cut out the letters in tape .

 

You might be able to buy the tape from an arts supply store, or sign supply store. I believe it's 3M's VHB (VERY High Bond), which is available in different widths, thicknesses and colors. The Cooper letters have clear tape on them. If you're looking for the Cooper copy I have an OEM one that I'd sell you for $15 plus shipping.

 

3M adhesive for auto body molding - check with a body repair guy. This stuff is cheap.
