I didn't order the sunroof on my S for several reasons but am considering installing one of those pop-up sunroofs as I've done in other cars. I'm curious if anyone else has already installed one and if so, what brand and do you have any advice?
Thanks alot.
Still waiting on my EB/W to arrive

Seems like AC Schnitzer had a soft top replacement available for the MINI. Go to www.acschnitzer.com and have a look.

Pop up sunroof

I don't have one but I did see one on the Last Estes Park MINI drive sponsored by MINI5280. It looked pretty good. Sorry I can't give you anymore info than that.

I guess the question explains why you call yourself Wet Willie.
I'd never let someone cut a hole in my roof. Talk about mods that
would void your warranty! A good lawyer could probably talk
BMW into not covering anything on your car. In fact, even a bad
one probably could.

well the question for me is if you have several reasons why you didnt order the sunroof then why spend the same if not more puting a crappy not flush one in your car even before you have it this makes no sence to me at all,

all after market sunroofs ive seen have a ugly seem and buldge up a little and its sort of expensive when all you had to do is get the sunroof from the factory and be done with it!

so what are the reasons you didnt go for the factory sunroof was it rigidity reasons or something else!!!!!!

the softtop version is available as an option in other countries or at least it was... check out.. http://www.inalfa.com/starter.htm they even have panoramic sunroofs the aftermarket sunroof tech has really changed since the one size fits all poptops. I still love the one I got with the mini but I could see someone wanting one aftermarket, but I'd totally wait till the warrenty is over, unless your best freind is a mini mechanic.

check out www.streetbeatcustoms.com. I believe they'll come out to your place and install it for you.

but i egress the rear really dosent need to open cause with the windows down and the sunroof open the back occupents really do get enouph air ventalation!!!!
