so i really want the black honeycomb grills on the front of my mcs and my question is this... i need the aero kit to fit them? and if i do, is it possible to just get the front bumper piece of the aero kit? if so, does it look ridiculous with just that piece or is it ok without the sideskirts and rear?

input much appreciated

christina.

You don't need aero kit bumper to fit the aero kit grille, although it does require some minor modification. The bonnet grille will fit without any problem. In any case, if you want to replace the front aero kit bumper. It will look nice, even without the side skirt, etc...

Part # and price:
Front bumper grille (top) 51 11 0 140 255 $37.25
Front bumper grille (bottom) 51 11 0 139 106 $44.25
Bonnet grille 51 13 0 140 259 $51.25
Front bumper 51 11 0 145 744 $360.00

so do you think the bonnet grill by itself would look silly with the stock bumper grills?
hmm. probably. any thoughts?

I have seen several MCS that have the top and bottom grills from the Aero Kit. You can buy the parts seperately and replace the stock grills. It looks good to me... but then again, I like the look of the Aero Kit !

No, not at all! That would be a nice way to dress up your MINI.
What color is your MINI?

I think this is what you are after. Aero grill on top, stock grill on bottom. I hope to get my aero side skirts on this weekend, just need to figure how to get the brackets on the skirts.

gt6, you should do the lower black grill too. It wasn't that hard, we did it this morning. Takes a couple hours and you need a dremel/ Pics should end up in that link I posted earlier as soon as we upload them.
