Drag D-9 Wheels

I'm ordering a set of these soon. If anyone else is running these wheels, could you tell me what kind of lug bolts you're using and where you got them?

Discount tire will tell you that you need custom lugs. Others in this forum will tell you that they run their oem lugs.

I don't have a problem running stock bolts. I can always paint them black.

Now, after more reading, it seems that I need "hub centric" rings for these wheels. The only info I can find on the wheels is 17" - (4 x 100/114.3) with 40mm offset. I have emailed Drag about the wheels, but haven't heard back from them. I don't have a clue what size ring to order or if it will require longer lug bolts. I'm planning to order these Friday so would appreciate any info I can get.

This is a nice looking, relatively light (18lb) wheel, surely someone on NAM is running these wheels.

i have some "Drag" brand wheels.

they come with bolts, so dont worry about that. Yes, youll need the hubcentric rings. they should come with those too. dont let them put he wheels on w/out those rings!!! you will be shimmying and shaking all day long.

Thanks for the reply. I called the company I'm buying the wheels from (www.autoanything.com) and they said the wheels don't come with rings or lug bolts. I found a great source for the rings at justforwheels.com but they don't have bolts for the Mini. Autoanything is searching for the correct bolts for the car/wheel combo and will get back to me. Never had this much trouble just changing wheels on a car.

Discount Tire Direct has all the Drag wheels. It is their house brand. They are much cheaper through DTD typically. Check with them.

just go to discount tire and buy the wheels. they should be like $115 bucks each or something, and will come with the correct bolts and wheel hubs.

hassle them a little (nicely) and they may drop the price a few bucks too (specially if you buy tires as well)! usually works for me

Thanks for the replies. Looks like I'm going with DTD for wheels and lugs, and probably the ebay hub centric rings. Drag DR-9 wheels $115 + TPMS rebuild kit + lug bolts = <$500 with the online $50 discount. Not bad. Now just waiting for uncle Sam to give some of my money back so I can order these.

1+ I got my tires from Tire Rack at the end because I'm impatient and TR delivered the next day, I called DTire and the drop the price but shipping was going to take 7 days :-(

Normally discount tire and Tire Rack will send the correct bolts and hub centric ring 51.6 bore or 56.1 can't remember lol I do know that Tire rack includes everything with the price - shipping :-(
