I plastidipped my side grills with some left over PlastiDip. It turned out pretty nice. I still have no idea why my can comes out textured and not smooth like what I see on YouTube.

I did this, as well. Looks great. I picked up the smoked signals, too. I have the ambers and they look good.

I ended up getting them off eBay. They were like $20-$30.

Nice!! I know that the plastidip will last for a good amount of time, eventually I think I will paint these permanently.

I don't mean to revive an old thread, but for future reference: Plastidip speckles a lot more in the cold. Both the can spraying and as it cures will be affected for the better if the goop's warm and can attach to itself for a smooth, consistent coat.

Just something I learned as I watched the Youtube videos from California and then tried it in Calgary. I'll use multiple cans, leaving one inside to be warm while I use the other outside until it gets speckly. If it's less than ~10-15 degrees C outside, the objects cure slowly or in the speckle they were sprayed in, leaving a rough texture like your last picture. You'll get a full cover with multiple coats, but it won't smooth like it's supposed to.
