Headlight repair and instructions

HI
My car R56 08 comes with the xenon headlights and cleaners.
I need help in taking apart the headlight in order to repair a white plastic part that holds the main xenon projector in place (What holds the bulb and its attached to the main headlight with some white plastic and other adjustments).
Basically is how do i take it apart? I dont want to spend $300 plus on another headlight because of just 1 plastic holder?
Your help will be greatly appreciated.
thanks!

I don't think the plastic part in question is available by itself. Plus you are looking at $600-$800 for the headlight at a dealer. You might be able to fabricate a new holder out of plastic or metal.

But to answer your question a heat gun carefully applied to the sealant (edge) of the headlight or an oven at 200F for 5-7 min will soften it enough to release the latches on the side and separate the lens from the housing.

Metal holders? Like making a replacement for that plastic piece out of metal?
