attempt to install Cooper S fuel Cap on a Cman - Fail

Tried to install a fuel cap from a cooper S, chromed one on my All4 today, failure, ended up taking to a shop to disassemble the whole thing. It does not align.

Will get an original fuel door for a countryman and retrofit the chromed door only.
