I have my wheel arches and lowered bumper painted to match body.
The reason, I like this style of front valence is that is doesn't sit as low as the
JCW aero kit. The style shown in the thread is about 2 inches in height difference, which is critical for my driveway.
Can you tell me what upper portion you are talking about , you can use the diagram above.

Same part number and texture for all , if yours is painted already , you will have to have it painted again. No primed version yet.

Yea, painted it will match and its sets a little higher.

Thanks

I think he's asking about #7 and #8(2)
I too am interested in knowing if these parts (along with #9) are a direct fit for 2009 clubman s

Maybe I'm missing something but aren't there additional parts needed where the fog lights recess into and the portion that separates the lower and upper grill?

If he is talking about #7 and #8 those were for the 8/2010+ MINI Cooper S and ( JCW ) Non JCW kit Bumper. Don't know if anyone has try to fit those to a Pre 8/2010 Cooper lower grille. Also they have the additional brake ducts. Future DIY for you maybe.

----------------------------------------------------------------

On #9 above you can look at the last post I had with the R58/ R59 Cooper S lower spoiler on the pre 8/2010 Cooper S bumper and you can see the tabs are a little different, might be close but have to modify to fit.

Thanks

10-4 thanks for the clarification...
I was thinking of putting more fog lights in the brake duct pockets.
But I'm not much of a fabricator, love the look tho

Hello MiniKoopsz,

Sorry for the confusion, what model 2013 do you have ?

If you have a 2013 R56, R55, or R57 MINI Cooper S with the stock front bumper all you need its this. See post #17 and #19 on this thread.

#9 in the diagram Spoiler Center Part # 51112759225

&&

**All the post above from #22 down have been discussions on Pre 8/2010 production MINIs with the older bumper style.**

Thanks

That's the part number 51112759225 . Checkout post # 11 , 17 and 19 of the install shots.

Spore STI & iminirr56 did a great job.

I have the pics on Post #23 with the comparisons, with modifications it looks like it might match up, but its those snap in tab locations that don't match on the upper lip. If you are a DIY'r it might be possible.

Thanks and that all the info I could find.

Not 100% sure, but i couldnt figure out how to get all the tabs loose to get the original lip off with bumper in place.
I gave up & had it swapped when the bumper was off for the LED foglight install.

Has ECS or anyone else tried to fit the #51112759225 lower valance (from the R58 / R59) on a pre-2011 non-aero / non-JCW kitted vehicle?
I was wanting to install such if it fits.

Have not tested it on the pre 2011 Cooper S bumper, see post #23 where i talk about it and some issues to look for. I have not tested it. Maybe someone else has. Part numbers linked.

Reviving an old thread in hopes of getting an answer. So you don't have to read the whole thread, the mod discussed is installing an R58S/59S stock front lip spoiler on a stock 2011+ Cooper S. It is a direct fit and will bolt right on. See post #23 by ECS Tuning.

I'm hoping someone who has done this can tell me if the bumper cover has to be removed to do the install or is it just a matter of removing one and bolting on the other.

Defs need to remove the bumper cover before installation of the r58 lip! Even with it off the original lip was a PITA to remove!

+1 the old original #9 needs removed before you can replace it with the newer #9 more flared lower lip. Thanks

want to confirm that the front bumper cover MUST be removed to replace the oem lip with this one. I really don't want to take the whole bumper off. Thanks!
