I think the car is great for it .
Hatch is easy to get into ,lots of room with seats down.

My lab navigates, mostly by laying down and sleeping while I motor around.Gets up and looks around every now and then. Then sends me on my way again, while she curls up facing the other way

I've got 2 Bullmastiffs (big dogs weighing in at 120lbs and 105 lbs). They both fit in the mini at the same time. They even have a little room to move around!

My great dane doesn´t fit in my MINI, her head bumps against the roof liner and the access to the back seats is a big problem.

For my poor arthritic Lab getting in and out of the MINI is a torture.

For me at least, the MINI is quite a (big) dog unfriendly car. My poor dogs only travel when necessary.

The shape of the back seats make it useless for long dogs, and with the back seats down, the surface is really hard and unconfortable.

I can´t imagine two bullmastiffs inside a MINI at the same time

The Black Lab Navigator has a blanket to curl up on,and she is only 4 so she can still enter and exit herself. But I'm sure the day will come when a boost will be needed.
I have had the back seats up a handful of times,I tend to think of my MINI as a 2 seater, with fold UP seats in the rear

You just need something to pad the area and make it a bit more comfortable for the dogs to lie there...

That white blanket is a great idea, protects the bumper from nail scratchs, plus more padding for the navigator,
Thanks for the photo

Good dog car maybe. Shifting in my MCS is too jerky yet for my dog to relax and
enjoy the ride. Talk about a death grip. Doggy no like.
