Need to black out chrome line, gonna try some vinyl tape. Been thinking bout adding some racing stripes. My thought was to stay with the plasti dip and spray matte black Shelbyish stripes? Thoughts?
I'm not married to the plasti dip idea.

" Let's see sum stripes " . Pics please.
I get my best ideas from you guys!!!

I've seen plenty of plastidipped rings and other aesthetic details, but how does it hold up to touch points like the door handles?
I was thinking about dipping the bike trays too, though I was going to put a thin neoprene liner in the base of the tray.

I've already had to touch up drivers side door. Started to peel a bit. This time had to spray while the handles were on my mini, that 3m adhesive really holds. Touch up has held well sooooo far?

Here' my stripe job. Professionally installed 3M Carbon Fiber vinyl. Guy did a great job. The color is just perfect on the Pure Silver paint. Very pleased with the result. Ignore 2nd pic. Can't figure out how to delete it.

Sweet stripes Steve in NH. Yeah, i'm leaning towards matt black vinyl stripes. But I'd still like to see some plasti dip stripes.

racing stripes

i just had mine done on my 2012 all black cm. If anyone in boston area needs tint or vinyl job, Sonnys in Saugus, MA is the place to go. They have an in house graphic artist and everything else including the vinyl. Great customer service and way cheaper that dealer.

Custom stripes

Well, when I ordered my 2012 Roadster S I wanted to get red rally stripes but they were only available on the JCW model so I settled for silver. I knew I wanted red mirror covers so I had the dealer install them when my car landed. After thinking hard, I came up with this idea about putting a red stripe down the center between the silver factory ones to bring out the red in the mirrors.

I decided on the side stripes after getting a small parking lot scrape on the right front door :(

I hope you enjoy!

It's vinyl. Pretty easy to do yourself with a scalpel and some patience.

Newby question

Just bought my CM all4, cosmic blue w/ black roof and mirror caps. It's my first mini and I'm thinking about putting on some stripes.

I found a place that sells an offset stripe graphic I like: https://id3452.securedata.net/superb...roducts_id=935

I've never had custom graphics done, so here's the newby question... what kind of shop do I need to find to install the stripes? I assume I can't do it on my own (plus I don't trust myself).

Also, any suggestions for a shop near either Manhattan or Greenwich, CT? I work in Greenwich, live in NYC. Don't want to get ripped off, but also want to make sure the job gets done right.

Thanks!

Places that do window tinting should be able to to the install...it's the same process. If all else fails, your MINI dealer should be able to either do them or refer you to someone who does their work.

Good luck and don't forget to post up some pictures (before and after)!

Any Tint shop will do it, I have a shop where I usually go for tints 5 or 6 cars so far they are located by Dyckman ave , west side highway all the way up to the Dyckman ave or st. I don't have stripes but when I do I'll have them put them on or you can also check NEMINI.org a regional site someone might know a shop in CT as well. You just missed an awesome run last Monday night in Manhattan it was a lot of fun!!!!! About 30 plus MINIs motoring around Manhattan.

Anyways Check it out
Here my tint and thinking about doing matte black stripes or very dark gray since I'm on black out mode
