OEM Mini mud flaps finished differently?

Do the fronts and rears have different finishes? (different material too)

The fronts are textured like the rest of the trim, while the rears are smooth and slightly different in color. It's hard to tell from photos on other threads and I didn't come across a thread where someone mentioned it.

From what I have read, double checking my paperwork, I have the right parts.
fronts -82160415114
rears - 82160430736

Thanks that would be appreciated. I was going to install them today and noticed the difference as I was sorting through the pieces, so I decided to wait and check what others have to say. It's a noticeable difference side by side, but I'm not sure how noticeable it would be once on the car. I've test fit both, and they are both for a clubman. I don't know why there would be a difference though.

The set I installed on my wife's car match the fender trim. Both are the same.

They seem to be identical in color/texture front, rear, right and left to the black wheel well trim.

Here are the molded mud flaps:

You can see the pictures of theme here.

Looks like you have an R55 Clubman . Those are the correct parts for that model. They should look the same, but the front do have a little texture to them.

Thanks and I hope that helps.

Thanks Cymru and ECS!

That's exactly what my fronts look like ECS, including the texture. The rears look like the diagram, except smooth. I found the part numbers molded into the rears, and I was sent 737 and 738. Spoke with a sales rep and they are going send the right ones this time.

fixthedoor - Your welcome , sounds like they just sent you the wrong part number? What was the 11 digit part number you got for the set on the rears?

Yeah they sent me the wrong parts.

81260430737 & 81260430738.

They look like they would work when I held them up to the car, so I wonder what they are for.

Looks like the individual part numbers of the Kit , the splash guards / mud flaps are only sold in pair in a kit. Do you have the full part number of the full kit they sent you?

No. The part numbers for the rears on my paperwork are what I should have been sent, as far as I understand.

fronts - 82160415114
rears - 82160430736

Spoke with the sales rep today, and apparently I do have the correct parts. ...0737 and ...0738 are part of the kit for the rears which is ...0736. She had some rears which were also smooth like mine. I don't understand the whole situation, a little frustrating, and why they would be different. Oh well. Decision time. Thanks again.

That's what I figured but was making sure the individual part numbers were not to the wrong set.

I would put some outside plastic dressing on it and do the black wheel arches , that way it will match a little better.

Glad you were able to find out.

In the end I installed the mudflaps. On the car it's hard to tell the difference and no one will notice unless I tell them.

BTW - Super easy to install. I pulled the wheels to give me plenty of room.

From those shots they look really good from that distance and complete the body wheel arch trim.

BTW the wheels, R119 Alloy 6 star Twin spokes in Matt Black, look great on your R55 Cooper .

Yeah I love the way they fit. They integrate very well with the body cladding.

I was stoked when I came across a pepper white with the R119's, not only do they look great, but they hide brake dust rather well.

I agree, the factory pads do dust a little. And those matt black wheels fit the R55 well.
