Clubman rear mud flap cost

Can anyone give me an idea of why the Clubman rear mud flaps cost twice as much as the other Cooper models?

The front cost the same.

It a more complex design consisting of two pieces.

They are independant of any other MINI model so cannot attach to any of the others.

The volume of Clubmans is not that of the other models sold so these pieces are somewhat like a one off in comparison, and I would guess are trying to get a return on their investment of design and manufacture.

Wish they still made full sets for the 1st Gen. Can only get the fronts now......

Thanks.
Sounds reasonable to me.
I have a set and they look very much like Gen 1's I'd put on our first MINI and your explanation is very plausable.

Have to wait for the install as it is -12 degrees f with a windchill od -25 degrees f. I'm collecting accessories for the big Spring thaw and aossciated MINI accessorizing weekend. Wahoo!
