Infant/Child Seat Access from Hatch? Rumble Seat?

Has anyone devised a safe way to mount child/infant seats so they can be accessed from the hatch? This would be such a great thing for R56 hatchback owners with young families, and grandpas like me

Pretty easy to just mount in the normal place, then let the front seat slide ALL THE WAY FORWARD, and you have darn good acess on a gen1....done it with a rewrward facing baby seat, then forward, and now a booster seat....it was a big snug doing the twist with the rearwatd facing, but worked fine. Since gen2 cars are slightly bigger, i would assume thete is even more space.

I have an infant carrier and a forward facing Britax Marathon in mine (R53) right now. Infant seat slides in fine on the driver's side. It takes a bit of practice, but once you master the maneuver, it's pretty easy. I slide in the carrier with the baby facing the passenger's door, and then once inside, rotate the seat so that he is facing backwards.

Make sure you try the installation on both sides. For some reason, in my car the carrier fit better behind the driver's seat than the passenger's. I'm not sure if the driver's seat slides forward a hair more than the other, or if it is just my imagination.
