Fitting receiver hitch on a 2013 Clubman

Hi all,
I took delivery recently of my 2013 Clubman and wanted to mount a receiver hitch to attach my Thule bike rack. No where could I find a listing for the 2013. Well I ordered a Curt 11170 that is listed for the 2010 models and it did fit. The hole drilled through the bumper cover was a little off but that is why they make dremel tools! Suspension connection had a great deal on it. There are videos on how to out there.

Congrats. We have installed several hitches and recommend the MINI Do More hitch as Curt just copied MDM. Please try to support the real designer of the hitch. I know you didn't know, but want to advise others.

2011 Clubman and hitch

I installed the same hitch (mini do more) and predrilled the hole behind the license plate when I had the bumper off. I then found it did not match the hitch (hole was too low and off by the size of the trailer receiver). I made another hole above it and it worked, but I had to relocate a small plastic piece that had an electrical wire on the back size of the bumper .

Over all I am happy with the hitch except there is no place to secure a safety chain on the hitch itself, when I pull my small utility trailer.

Interesting, my hole was too low also but my hitch came with two safety chain loops that I use to lock my bike rack to the car. Damn thieves steal anything not nailed down and that thule was expensive! Happy motoring. PS, Yetti, see PM>
