Interior/Exterior TWM Performance Short Shifter for the MINI!!!
TWM Performance Short Shifter for the MINI!!!
Ive been trying to decide which short shifter to get for my MINI, and I recently came across a new short shifter that will soon be available from TWM Performance. Im still trying to figure out the exact date.
Here is the link:

TWM Performance has always had solid short throw shifters for other vehicles, so this one for the MINI looks very promising!

Hey
Im actually the test car for the R53 (2005) short shifter ...
All i can say is Whoa !!! it changes the feeling completely.
Ive been testing it for a little over 2 months and had a chance to test in all conditions (traffic, backroads, track ...)
Shift feels a bit notchier (i also removed my counter weight unit) but is still very easy to use in traffic and low speeds. The throw was shortened enough that you no longer have to move your arm to change gears ... all can be done with a flick of the wrist.
I think the best part about the produuct is that it is a one piece full replacement as opposed to jsut adaptor ... plus they will come with a adjusted box (you will need to cut your shifter box beneath the car) in order to shorten the throws and keep everything nice and clean and protected
On a side note the company is great and their staff is super friendly ... i would definetly recommend them

Great! I look forward to buy their product.
I emailed their sales department and they told me that the pre-order would start next month, and it would be cheaper than after they release it.
I was looking at the CravenSpeed Adjustable, but I think this one will be fine.

Update :
Was told that the kit will be available very soon ... Im supposed to have the actual product withing 1 month for final testing
On another note, now that the weather up here is going down i have found the only problem with my shifter assembly ... their **** (i have their Big type R ****) gets very cold when left at freezing temperatures
Thank god it warms up pretty fast though !
