Difference between 02/03 vs 04-06 shift *****

What is the difference between the 02-03 and the 04-06 shift *****? I'm trying to buy a JCW **** for my 03 but they have been discontinued. The 04-06 ***** are still available though.

No difference. Shift ***** are interchangeable for all years of the 1st gen.

Why does mini list them as different, even in the standard *****? Some minor change that really doesn't matter?

I think the difference may have been the logo on them.

I may even have one of the old pre 04 ***** on the shelf. I'll have to look on Monday when I get to the shop

I believe the only difference is the Chrome outline on the top is raised a bit more but otherwise I think they're the same. Maybe a difference in the way they are screwed onto the shifter.

No worries there as they don't screw onto the shifter.
