TPMS compatibility

Ok, if I understand this correctly:

I have a 2010 Mini Convertible (R57). If I find rims/tires that come with 2010, 2011, or 2012 TPMS sensors, I'm good to go. All those model year's sensors are compatible with each other, correct?

TIA

I have had 2010 sensors on a 2011, and 2011 sensors on a 2012 with no issues. I have also had 2011 Countryman sensors on a 2012 MC Hardtop with no issues. So, I would say they are all compatible (2010-2012). Be wary of 2009 sensors. I think they changed late in the year. I did have a set of late year 2009 sensors on a 2010 with no issues though.

Yes you are correct all the 2010 + are compatible as they use the same part number for the TPMS. Mini changed the part number from sep. 2009 production. I had to purchase a set of TPMS for my 2009 when I bought 2011 wheels that came with the new TPMS.

Yes, I purchased the TPMS from Outmotoring $240 and sold my 2011 TPMS to one of the NAM member. I replaced my Run flats with Kumho Escta 4X so the TPMS were switched at the same time.
