Take the weather stripping off. Get a good grip of the panel along the edges of the kickpanel and pull away as hard as you can. After pulling it out, you should be able to push the kickpanel out of the way to gain access to the wires. If desire, it can be completely removed after unscrewing the bolt holding the seat belt harness; however, it's not necessary.

2. is it possible to wire the lights to come on with the parking lights rather than the high beams?

Yes, by connecting the remote lead to the parking light wires

3. how can i seal up the small hole i made in the grommet surrounding the wire harness ?

I use electrical tape to wrap the wires after puncturing the existing grommet under the driver side vent.

Good luck!

I don't remember the color of the wire, but it's the wire going to the on/off switch.

Where is the parking light wire? or do i need to feed the yellow through the grommet to the parking lights in the engine compartment?

Instead of running the wires back to the engine compartment to the parking light, find any wire that powers dash illumination when the parking light is on. If you mount your switch near the steering wheel, the closest wire should be the grey/pink wire of the harness going to the Tach above the steering wheel.

If you tap into the parking light or illumination wire as suggested, the aux light is operable as long as the parking light is on.
