Interior/Exterior Roof Rack Parts
Roof Rack Parts
Hi, and a pre-emptive thank you to anyone who can help.
I had an oh_**** moment the other night, when taking my new polo bike on top of my rack to my first pick-up game.
I excitedly pulled into the campus parking garage where it is played, neglecting that I had a bike on top of my car. The handle bars and saddle caught the cement, and the ENTIRE roof rack was ripped off my mini.
Surprisingly the only damages I can find to the rack are to the 'roof rail clips'. These are the metal brackets that fasten the rack to the pre-machined slots of the roof under that stripping material. They are bent.
Ive been searching the internets all over for these specific parts, but cannot find them. Does anyone know if they are sold separately, and if so, where can I purchase these?
Thanks again!

As far as i know they don't. I had an issue with one of the nuts tightening down, and when I went into the dealer, they warrantied the whole rack and said they didn't sell the supports or parts separately. Also on realoem.com it only shows the stripping, the covers, and tools to put the rack on as separate parts for purchase. If you have a contact with a dealer, you might check with them to see if they had any warranties come in or something you can scrap parts off of. Sorry to hear about that man, hopefully I don't ever forget about mine.
That's what I was afraid of. Thanks for the suggestion though! I'll look into calling some dealerships soon, after the mini is fixed and I know how much that will actually set me back. I'm getting some far out estimates.
