Is there any way to replace the silver "wings" and toggle cover (and CD mouth) with something black instead? Attached is a photo. The new Countryman are black and it looks so much better. Not sure what these parts are called. Thanks!

 

2011+ are black...are they interchangable?

 

No they arent ;( If you look at them they are different. You would have to get thwhole center column swapped. I believe the radio controls are different too. I looked into it briefly because i want the all black interior MFSW etc.

 

Old thread, but I wanted to chime in regarding the "regular" HVAC controls and switches for windows etc. Couldn't one just purchase the new parts for those and either exchange the parts (if the connectors work) or take the old and new sets apart and just swap the black buttons and trim onto the old pieces that came out of the car? Has anybody tried this with the regular HVAC controls?

 

I am not sure if they are interchangeable but, I need to replace mine because the grey is peeling off. I went and priced new parts out to the tune of $600 because they will not let you just buy the controls. They want you to buy the whole center console where the cd player is too. So I am going to pull mine down the road strip and repaint it with some better paint.
