Check out my mods!

Most of these mods are sub $10, while looking like its a factory install.

the headlight eyes are just chrome vinyl.
i found some rain gutter plastic for $2 a strip.
and black vinyl wrap is anywhere from a buck to 5.

Nice. I love cheap mods. I wrapped the plastic door pulls/grips with tennis racket handle grip wrap the other day. Looks great and I love the feel. The plastic feels so cheap and the seam at the top didn't even match up perfectly. It was driving me crazy.

more "mini" mods

i hate the "ambient air" vent in the mini dashboard, so for now i have the gauge cluster / air director in place. I got a real mini air vent from a wrecked on on ebay and carved it up

the gauges are from harbor freight of all places
but i thought they looked the part, and the where super cheap ($15 each?)

i also made a custom sized cooler for the boot
its got 2 - 3 layers of insulative foam, then its wrapped in duck tape, then its wrapped in drawer liner. i stained the wood top and covered that in sealer. the whole cooler is modular, and it pulls right out of the boot. its friction fit in. i also have it hooked up to power, and when you open the door, 2 1ft strips of leds light up

i was able to squeeze a zip tie around the inner door handle, and i have some flashlight holders. now both doors have flashlights handy at any time

i also got a solar panel (at ya, you guessed it, HF), they are on sale or something, plus you can print 20% off coupons. i stripped off the silly plastic cover, taped it to some black foam core board, and wrestled that stuff up into the rear sun roof, which i also hate bc i live in Florida, and that sun just heats up the car through that window like crazy

finally, i hate the antennas on minis. im sorry, but theyre dumb. so, i de-soldered my sirius antenna and unbolted the bubble on my roof.
a fake shark fin is better than a black zit any day :P
