Super bright LED installed on my 2010 MINI Cooper S !!!

The first thing I did was to black out all the chrome trim on grille, front / rear lights
Then I installed the HID and all the exterior & interior LEDs

The city/parking light :

The license plate light :

The CREE reverse light :

The door light :

The foot area in pink :

The dome light in pink as well :

What do you guys think??

looks good, but.....

I see you have a Cali plate and I'm really really certain that the LED on you license plate is a No-Go.

I know I people who get tickets for just changing the color.

Its legal to have white license plate light in CA.
The color of the license plate light is 4300 to 5000k.
It turn a bit blueish due to the camera
The door LED color will be the right color! (same as the city light, license plata light and reverse light)

where did you those LEDs? Are they all 4300 to 5000? Just looking for the exterior lights, no interest in the pink interiors.

I tried changed my license plate light, but after three different LEDs, I still get ERRORS. Are you getting LIGHT OUT errors? Which LED are you using?

not the color, but being LED, .... Granted I think they look good, but I know as well as they know they are "modified" and thats what will enable them.

I'm just saying that IMO, your pushing your luck. Ive seen first hand "fix it" tickets from people that weren't Ricers in Cali.

Key word will be "modified". They use this when its convienant.

I don't see any issue with the license plate. I think it is perfectly legal. They are just whiter, brighter bulbs. A casual observer might even think they are OEM.

Yes of course. White is legal, colors are illegal.

It's fine. The vehicle code only requires the license plate to be illuminated in white and readable from 50 ft. That's all. Doesn't matter what lighting technology or whether it's OEM.

BTW, there are cars that come with LED license plate lights from the factory.
