I recently purchased the a-panel pieces and the audi wide mouth kit from Vinyl Styles. These pieces came precut, and I chose matte (might be satin).

While Lyle's pieces were precisely cut to fit, it is extremely pricy, and I'm not sure it's worth the price unless you can take advantage if their install. I learned that for the pieces I was installing, paying the price for pre-cut was not worth it. Would have been worth it if they did the install because I know they offer nothing but quality.

So, I was wondering if anyone knows what type of vinyl they use? I believe it is a 3M product due to the pattern of adhesive used on the back to prevent bubbles. It is also a dry install, not wet.

Does anyone happen to know the product name/number?

I want to remove my plastidip and wrap instead, and I want to make sure I get the same material.

Appreciate any ones insights on this.

Thanks

Not sure what you have on your car but that vid is of 3m Di-Noc vinyl and is pretty pricey.. Great stuff though.. You probably are looking for 3M Control Tac in what ever color you bought from him... Can be applied dry or wet ( though it's purpose is dry install ), up to you and depending on what you are covering...
It will cost more then just regular 3m vinyl. Depending again on what you are covering you could use the regular stuff for headlight ring, beltline, door handles, boot handle, stripes, etc which is what I did with all my stuff..
3M's Control-tac vinyl is a 180c-?? number, the last 2 or 3 digits is for color choice
