What do you all think?

Every time I talk myself out of doing this... I see another picture with a MINI that has had it done.

What do you all think? Do you think it'd be worth it to have it painted, or should I keep the plastic black or painted by a body shop?

My Car...

Car with painted arches...

I like the painted arches. I would have it done professionally.

I'd say do it. That looks awesome. I'm lucking out with having a MB MCS, so the black wheel arches will fit close enough. But those painted arches (like you would get with the JCW Aero kit) look great.

...The only reason why I would say not to though, is it seems like you have been doing a decent amount of chrome delete with yours...and the black wheel arches compliment that a lot. And you also have the black roof and mirrors

If you want i still have all the parts i took off mine which are in great shape the car only had 7,000 miles on it when I took them off. I would make you a deal on if you wanted them.

Windman, are they the black plastic pieces that would be ready for sanding, prepping, painting, etc, or are they painted?

Thanks all for your opinions. Still trying to make up my mind. Keep the ideas coming!

Your car looks awesome as is. I think you should really think about how you drive your car first and daily obstacles. If they aren't so bad, definitely do it. Just make sure you 3M all your impact points because you will get chipping.

No they are not the Black plastic at all it is what you are wanting. The black plastic like i have on mine and the ones that you have on yours is "rough" if that makes sense. The ones i took off are smooth Chili Red.

That would be perfect! Does that include the Side Skirt, and the black plastic areas in the bottom front/rear bumper?

Please PM a price.

Do it! Just get it professionally done!

I just had it done. It looks amazing. Body shop charged me a little less than $500 for all 11 pieces of the JCW aero kit. I got them all done gloss black (on my PW car) as I think it full pepper white doesn't look right. If you choose to go body color, you should really think about getting all your trim painted red too (like your example pic did), and maybe a Cooper gas cap. It would look really nice and clean!

If you haven't seen it yet, here's what mine looks like, although I think full red might look better than red/black:

Very nice car. I really like the way it looks. I'm a fan of the Pepper While. My Wife's car looks great as well but it's a stock MCS.

That looks awesome. You're right, I don't think PW looks very good with the body color arches. That's a great price to! May I ask where you're from? Maybe I could make a trip...

I give myself teases with photoshop all the time. I'm my worst instigator lol. I was sitting here not doing too much so I figure... let's make him seal the deal lol. I must admit it looks pretty hot with all red and the details blacked out. It transformed the car for sure. Best of luck, restraining yourself from not doing it

Don't do it unless you paint the roof too. Body-color arches with a black roof doesn't flow well at all.

^Don't listen to him!! You have black rack, gas wheels and tint. Your car right now doesn't flow too much different black shades. By painting the arches and sideskirts red you are cleaning it up.

Mini///M did a very great job with that chop. DO IT!

Thanks!

That photoshop of the red arches looks totally badass. Do it!!!!!

I'm about 20 minutes south of Buffalo, NY. I got it so cheap mainly because I pulled all the parts off myself, dropped them off with "no rush," picked them up a week later, and put them all back on myself. They really didn't have to do any of the labor. That alone saved me about $400.
