fastmini.net LED Interior Lighting Kit Install

Took more than a month to get this from Mach V, but I think well worth the wait. They are really bad at answering emails, so give them a call if nothing happens after you place the order. The intensity difference is definitely noticeable. I will take some night shots later, the puddles should look pretty tight. Overall it was fairly easy, although I did not tackle the map lights yet.

You will need:
-A small flat head screwdriver
-Rubber/vinyl/latex gloves - makes gripping the bulbs much easier and if your hands get clammy you won't short out the LED's
-good lighting

Dome cluster LEDs

Dome lighting compared to the OEM footwell bulbs

Puddles were a breeze...

OEM Glovebox bulb:

Glovebox Festoon Triple LED:

It is very easy to replace the footwell bulbs by just removing the plastic housing around them by twisting the black piece and then pulling the plastic housing off...

Footwell LEDs:

If the lights do not turn on, you just have to rotate the bulb and re-insert.

Looks good.

I've been considering the 2.0 LED kit here:

did you get a bulb out? does it keep the body module happy? some of these things you have to install resistors to keep the car happy with the lower impedance of the LEDs

On all 2002+ MINI models that we've tested, you will NOT get any body module "bulb out" warnings or other problems.

That looks really good comported to to the stock bulbs. I think I'll have to get this kit for mine.
