Added a 2nd Armrest

So I decided I was missing the armrest I removed a few months ago....if for no other reason other than my lazy elbow. Also decided to add one for the rear seat passengers..A few mods needed on the rail and the far back plastic cap that houses the rear LED connectors, not bad at all though.
Pictures in the gallery..I'll post more later..Almost time for wheels up

Looks great!! I'm interested in doing this too. What mods did you have to make to the rail and do you think it would work with the two part rail?

Thanks!

I ordered the armrest from Outmotoring. It's actually the replacement for the front armrest or for those who opted not to get the armrest initially. I have the full rail, so not sure about the 2 part but I did use the 2 holes that support/brace the rail to the floor.
The bracket that comes with the armrest has 4 holes so I needed to mark off and drill the other 2 holes and I used machine bolts and nuts to hold the bracket to the rail. You can forego those two holes, I just was looking for additional support even though it's only to the rail and not the floor. To have the bracket fit snug on the rail you will drill another hole and elongate an existing hole in the rail as the bracket has tabs on the underneath that fit into the holes to for additional support. My daughter and her friend enjoy the it and the extra storage room. It can be easily removed if need be and the rubber mat would hide the additional holes. Hope this helps... Let me know if you need more info.
