Interior/Exterior Clear Bra / Stripes Over or Under
Clear Bra / Stripes Over or Under
Getting a new car this week. Undecided on stripe design right now, but I want to get the clear bra on as soon as possible, preferably before leaving the dealer. Can vinyl stripes go over an already installed clear bra or do they need to go on first? Would that be a problem?
The vinyl stripes can go over the clear bra with no problems. I did that with mine, and when it came time to remove the vinyl it came off of the clear bra just fine.
Plus, I think that the clear bra will hold up better over time compared to the vinyl, so it would probably be best to have the vinyl on top if you're likely to remove it before the bra.

I put my stripes under the clear bra. This will allow me to take care of the entire clear bra, as opposed to having to mask it when I polish/wax it.
Also, if you don't do a full body panel (only half the hood, for example), then you'll see a step down on the vinyl when it goes down into the actual bodywork.
