Smaller Rearview Mirror

I find the stock rearview mirror overly large (i.e. depth - top to bottom and width) in my 2009 JCW. For my height it seriously blocks my forward vision. Scanned through some threads on this site looking for a suitable smaller substitute, but all I've found seems to suggest using the older mirrors from pre'05 Mini's. Might be due to my limited web-searching skills! Has anyone found a smaller interior rearview mirror that can be substituted for the stock item? Thanks in advance for any tips.

I am searching for an alternative as well. The rear view mirror is much too large for my taste.

I've had my car for about a year and am used to "ducking down" to see under the mirror when approaching right turns. Other than that and finding clothes that fit, being tall is OK.

And planes... they suck when you're tall.

Replaced the stock mirror with a smaller aftermarket mirror for about $10. Thrilled with the result. Fellow member wsalopek was the good samaritan of all good samaritans in providing the attached photo-documentary and even researching the best online price for the mirror itself! World needs more guys like Bill. Been trying to attach a PDF I made of Bill's Picasa photo album of the procedure, but haven't been able to do it successfully. If you search for his name, you'll likely find the real thing.

Do you have a link to the rear view mirror you replaced it with? Or any pics of it now? Thanks

John, I finally found the link to Bill's pictorial of the installation. It contains plenty of pics:
