So I've got an 04 R53 with the standard set of two MINI rally lights that are on the top grill. After seeing a couple of post I started to like the look of the 4 hella lights, either 500's or black magics, and I was just wondering how difficult it would be to install them. I know theres some cutting involved and I just wanted to know how difficult the install would be, not sure if I would take the stock rally lights off or if they would be kept. Any input on the matter is appriciated.

 

Suggest you pull up Grassroots Garage website.
They have some very nice brackets for mounting additional lights.

 

If you want to sell your driving lights let me know. I am looking for a set. Are them OEM MINI?

 

Yea they are OEM lights along with OEM MINI caps for them. Not sure if I'm willing to sell them though have to wait and see.

 

I built a mount for 4 hella 500's on mine, used a piece of 1x1" aluminum box tubing from home cheapo and some metal bars from the same place, bent evrything up to mount to the radiator support, i need to find some sturdier support though, i have them ziptied down to the license plate bracket right now because they bounce if i dont do that.

 

If you end up selling your OEM driving lights, I would be interested as well!
