Aero Grille without cutting?
did anyone ever come out with an aero grille that you are not required to cut down the middle grille? That's the only thing that's holding me back from purchasing it...

just get one of the overlay grills off of ebay for the bottom and used a mini aero grill for the top. I paid less than 30 bucks from someone if you look around you might get a set cheap of the overlay grills. One thing they are a smooth shiny finish and you will need to sand it and repaint it with krylon black textured paint to get it to match up to the factory grills. it looks not bad they match up well and the fitment is pretty good. I just worry about the krylon paint holding up to road debris and salt/cinders.

what does "overlay" mean
I got the Moss MINI "JCW Style Grill" in black. No cutting required at all for stock bumper. Below is the answer I got when I asked the same question to Moss MINI support:
"Thanks for your interest in Moss Motors. I've attached the instructions to
this email. The installation is very simple and does not require removal of
the bumper or any modifications to the body of the car. If there's anything
else I may assist you with please contact me."
It was pretty straight-ahead. Zero cutting or drilling or anything similar. Remove fasteners from old grill top, and pull out. Pull out bottom grill, attach new bottom utilizing the original double sided tape. Email Moss MINI and have them send you the instructions to set your mind at ease.
And it looks great, in my opinion. Check out my gallery for a pic.

This is not correct. They are NOT the OEM grilles and they do attach without any cutting.
The upper grille requires no cutting. Remove fasteners, and set plastic screws back in place. The lower grille will require cutting, and removal of the front bumper depending on the year of your Mini. For the older years without the lower grille, and the simple chrome trim, it is a must. Extreme pain in the ***. I have my lower grille still sitting in my garage, because I haven't had the time to do the install. About to just plasti-dip the lower grille.

Well there was certainly something resembling double-sided tape on my factory bumper when I pulled the lower grille off, just as the instructions for the Moss MINI grill said there would be. Again, no cutting involved for the lower section on the Moss grille. Zero modification required.
Hi,
I got top and bottom grill from Outmotoring and I DID CUT to install the bottom part. Nice summer day, a lot of masking tape a dremel tool and a brew (of course
). Took my time, and it turned out PUUURFECT!. I mount it on stock 2006 justa bumper. See how it looked:

The only regret at the time was that I did not paint the bumper area behind the grill (in black matte)....
Since than I returned this MINI as it was a lease and left the grill on. Never got the complaint from the dealer... They loved it!
If you are considering, go for both parts. Don't do it half a$$... If you are not skilfull with dremell I am sure you know a buddy who is. It is just a few short cuts on the bumper skin and fine long trimming on the lower grill it self.
JUST DO IT!

I bought the black upper and lower grills on ebay and they attached to my stock MCS bumper very easily with absolutely no cutting. There are two pictures in my gallery, im not sure how to post them here. Something like this:
