How do you remove the panel at the front of the console?

I'd like to remove the vertical panel at the forward end of the console inside the cubby for another project. It's about 5" X 3" just below the aux/in plug. Does it just snap in and out or do I need to remove the sides of the console under the dash to get at some hidden fastener?

From what I remember, I believe it just snaps out with a little force.

You're right; it has two heavy duty clips on the backside holding it on. It takes a pretty heavy tug to get it off. I think I'd be a little worried trying to pull it off on an older Mini where the plastic bits are starting to get brittle. Thanks for the tip.
