1st Gen OEM Aero Kit Question

Hi All,

I have a 2003 R53 MCS. I might be able to acquire an Aero Front Bumper and side skirts for an R50 just a Cooper. Will the front bumper and side skirts from the regular Cooper Aero Kit fit my R53 S???

Thanks!

I am pretty sure they are exactly the same. The only different part is the rear bumper due the different location for the exhaust.

I bought mine through classic. They are one of the vendors here. There used to be Quite a few places to get it but it has become harder to get over time. You will most likely have to have it painted. Most of the pre-painted stock that MINI had is gone.

Everything will go right on.
Just put front & rear aero covers on "Merlin".
Fit and work great.

Yes they will fit fine the only difference is the rear bumper.

I may have one front aero bumper left in stock. But I can get more unpainted ones, they just aren't very cheap.

Yep they go right on, but will need painted to match.

Out Motoring is the only one I found that sells the aero kit broke down into individual pices. Just be sure to order the lower bumper grille with the front bumper cover, it is about $60.00 extra and not included.

If you get the R50 side skirts, I think we will be the only 2 people on this site with Aero bumpers and Cooper skirts on an MCS.

Technically, everybody with an aero kit is in the same situation. Cooper and S use exactly the same aero front bumper and side skirts (same part numbers).

List price plus shipping would have run over $1200, so you did well. Your savings will help pay for the painting.
