I've thought about that. Don't know if it could be done well and not chip off the plastic covers. The white is out of place. Maybe just sanding it off so it's black would be better?

Little black "M&Ms" almost went onto the mirrors

yah, that PIAA logo could probably be painted red with just
any enamel paint without chipping. I would sand the white
gently with 400grit and apply 1-2 coats of the red..even plastic
model paint (Testors)might work. Finish off with a coat or two
of clear and you should be fine.

If you're real ****, you can dip the cover in some water
based paint and stamp the logo onto a piece of paper....
then have a graphic shop make a red logo out of it and
you just stick it on top of the white logo.... ?

That's Gorgeous!

did you paint in the MCS yourself?
that grill is beautiful!
Why not red stem caps and a red MINI logo, or a steering wheel
Or a Red SCOOP or even red pinstripe accents on your bonnet stripes?
Lovin the dancin banana!

Hmmm, Daddy Like!

But Silver, maybe you should change your username to Red.

Looks very serious.

How about a fine line1/8th" pinstripe along the side just under the cabin chrome... from the one headlamp around the boot and back to the other headlamp?

I guess it's tough to explain...

Could someone photoshop that?

I can picture what you mean WCC. But IAO, I want to keep it sporty, not decorative. My whole point with this color scheme is to reflect the sportier side of MCS by tying the simple color schemes to that of the famous silver racers at Lemans. Namely, Sauber Mercedes, Audis, etc. Thanks to Yank for this example:

If I were to back off the red caps and return to black, I'd add a 1/2 inch black stripe running from the headlamps, through the mirror base and ending at the rump with a black "mini cooper" medalion decal to make it more like the classic Rover Mini Cooper in blue/white combo. Except mine would be silver/black combo.

It's got to be one or the other. Can't do both.

Sid

I regret to say that I was planning the inaugural Mini trip to the Dragon with Michigan Mini Club this April but my SO will be carrying a veritable basketball by then. The last time I was there was in a beater Granada and that's what I did with it...beat it!! Beat the F nn Kerry out of it

Have fun and be safe

Below: Top 10 MCS worldwide in my book. It is ideal. [A lot of those car show MINIs are real gaudy and actually does the MINI a disservice.]

I like it. What about a full red roof? I saw one on the MINI dealer's showroom floor, where the dealer sent it out for painting locally and had both the roof and mirrors painted red, for about $1500, give or take several hundred -- added to the price of the new MINI. Looked real cool. I don't remember the color of the MINI, as the red is what grabbed me big time.

Is it:

"...actually does the MINI a disservice.]"

--OR--

"...actually do the MINI a disservice.]"

*I'm a nerd about things like that ha ha

Probably too much red for me. But I'd really like to see a pic of this Mini you're talking about.

I'm no grammar expert but to me it sounds better as "actually DOES the Mini a disservice". I think I remember that Does goes with singular. Any English majors out there? I'm only a car designer. Sorry.

I saw it two months ago when I was taking delivery of my MINI and I did not see it yesterday when I was at the dealers. If I can remember to take my camera with me to the dealer's I will take some pictures of other interestingly modded MINIs. I still haven't tried to post a picture here yet.

Not bad Sid. When I first saw the caps, they didn't really do anything for me. Now that I see the whole package, I kind of like it. I'll have to see it in person. It does coordinate well with the cambers. I think if you stick with the red theme, you definately need something red at the top of the windscreen. Might I suggest, "MICHIGANMINI.COM"?
