Sliding armrest fix

I have an R56 with the optional US armrest. It kept sliding back when I didn't want it to.

Attached is a picture of a fix I made with a 1" X 2.5" X .1" piece of aluminum (painted). The "latch" is off-center so that you can turn the "handle" 90 degrees to open it. Gravity holds it in the latched position. The screw is a #6 self-tapping type threaded directly into the plastic. It works great and actually looks better in the car than the picture would indicate.

Yea, I'm worried about the long term prospects of that cheap piece of plastic holding up...
