Well I finished my rear seat delete/cargo deck project. I now have a spare mounted behind the drivers stat so the passenger seat can still go flat to get long cargo in. Wound up using rivet nuts into the box beam to hold the rear of the deck. I was originally going to use well nuts but the carpet wrapped around the plywood gave enough padding it works fine. The front I attached with a tube through the front edge seat mount into a cross brace. Cheap carpet and a tire cover looks pretty good. I stuffed the seatbelt buckles down below so it is pretty clean looking. Everything is fully reversible.

First test was nosier than stock, so I lined under the seat with fiber mat, and when I put in the rear 6 x 9"s I added another layer inside the sides. Dyna mat inside the fenders and across the floor where the tools are. Now it is as good or better than stock with the seat and shelf in place.

Last step is to put a hinged door next to the tire to make use of all that cargo space under the deck. I need to order the hardware for that. I want a flush lock.

Gad, what a pain putting in the rear speakers. You really do have to take everything out.
Chassis pretty much done. Stereo is OK, so I guess either a real rear backup light and really loud horns, or gauges are next.
