is there a how to for tow hooks anywhere???
will the tow hooks off ebay for the mini cooper a good piece?
is there some products i should avoid b4 i order a set?
how do they install? i have a 05 MCS.

Check your tool kit, you probably have one (if your looking for the stock version) on the front and rear bumper cover there is a half moon cut out you can remove and the tow hook will screw in - paint it first if you wish with plasti-dip spray ( mine has been red, black and now white.

 

I have the Craven Speed tow hook and it is top quality. Plus only $59, which for a good quality piece isn't all that expensive, when you consider the e-bay knock-offs are about $50 after shipping.

 

Some of the ones on eBay are just for show anyway, so becareful. If you really intend on using it, try the Cravenspeed one as suggested by rjtrout.
