Interior/Exterior how do u remove the upper/lower chrome trim on 05?

how do u remove the upper/lower chrome trim on 05?

hey all, i am trying to blackened my upper/lower chrome trim on my 05 mcs conv...how do u remove them? i only saw 2 clip on both end of the upper trim but the rest of the trim wont come off.. wher are the other tabs?

HOW DO U REMOVE THE LOWER CHROME TRIM? do i have ot take out the bumper?

Yes, you will have to remove the bumper to get to the lower chrome grill. Not to bad a job really.

Have you already removed the grill assembly from the hood? The grill comes off as a complete unit and the chrome surround is attached to it.

I wrapped mine in carbon fiber vinyl i didnt have to remove anything just get a screwdriver and be very careful

Go to realoem.com and look at the grill assemble and it might make more sense. It should be too difficult, but rkw is right. You need to take the entire upper grill off of the car.

And the lower grill is glued and clipped in there so it is safer to take the bumper off the first time.

The lower trim comes off once you pop out the plastic pegs that attach it to the bumper. They are found on the sides and behind, where the grill meets the trim.
