Minidomore hitch reciever vs. cheap one on ebay.. NEED HELP

I'm looking to buy a trailer hitch for my 2009 MCS

The one that minidomore makes is pretty perfect, but it is 200+ dollars (http://www.minidomore.com/mini_coope...iler_hitch.php)

There is one on ebay that goes for 135 dollars (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Towin...Q5fAccessories)

my question is, is I buy the one from ebay, what will be different?
Is it a worse product? I'm tight on money so I really need the advise of someone who knows what they are talking about

The eBay hitch is a CURT - Very good brand. More about it here:

What do you plan to tow?

The Curt (e-bay) hitch is a direct knock off of the minidomore hitch. In fact there have been rumors that Curt ordered one from minidomore and copied it exactly.

Personally I am not a fan of companies that use those tactics. But Curt is well know for quality products.

You may want to check around i have seen the Curt Hitches for $125.

My choice would be .........neither. I've seen the Curt/MDM hitch and the MINI Fini products at the dragon. The MINI Sport Link, while pricier, is in my opinion a better product.

And no, I do not have any affiliation with any of these vendors.

You might want to check if it fits yours...that's listed as fitting a Mini Cooper and you say you have a Mini Cooper S

The MINI Fini product is very nice but it is not a DOT approved hitch as far as I know where the MDM and CURT are DOT approved.

As for the comment about the Justa vs. S, I know the MD hitch for the 07+ hardtop is the same for both cars. I would suspect the Curt is the same way as they only list one on their website and state that for cars with center exhaust (S) there is some heat shield trimming that is needed.
