Geesh guys lay off the man.

I think they add some style to the car, but I'd be a bit disappointed if I saw these driving by and then later found out they weren't a Brembo BBK.

Do they make them in black though? I might look into them just to make my ugly silver calipers disappear more.

Seems like that's all he was trying to do too. Unless I misread something.

It's not like anyone who looks at the rotors is gonna think that it's a BBK...

Really? Try removing them. Those wheels are WELDED together my man. Those bolts don't do ***** but attempt to FOOL people into thinking you have 3pc wheels.

But I'm sorry, you were making fun of my phony calipers...

I'm sorry, but that's not remotely true. Webspokes are true 2 piece wheels and have ZERO welding. The same is true of the other 2 piece OEM wheels such as the BBS R90.

Well then I stand corrected. Surprised and corrected.

In any case, my point is same. The MINI is full of form over function compromises and people who drive them shouldn't be such pursuits when it comes to modifications "for looks."

They do make them in black, I have them on my car. You can just make them out in this pic:

Actually the brake ducts on the JCW aero kit do function & the whole aero kit was designed by MINI to be aero efficient at speed.

Most production cars have compromises to functional design, especially at anything close to this price point. You are living in a fantasy world if you think different.

You are a boatload of fail today.

Sounds like Karmavore needs to do deep research before spouting out things before he even knows the actual truth/fact.

The 16" R90's were one piece OEM's although I have never seen them on a MINI stateside. The R98's and R109's are definitely 2 piece wheels manufactured by BBS.

So you think a car at this price point is going to have functional rear brake ducts? I can't think of anything other than true exotics that have them. Your expectations for the MINI are borderline delusional.

As for your caliper covers, I think they look alright and that's clearly all they are for.

Actually, I never made fun of your FAKE, red big brake wannabe calipers covers. Also, I think I know my own rims and if the bolts were fake or not, but you now know how wrong you are and how much FAIL you have brought upon yourself today.

I don't understand why people keep calling it a fail. Just because different people have different tastes in aesthetics doesn't allow you to be disrespectful.

Who is being disrespectful? Don't blur the line because one member gets poked fun at for doing something other find funny.

Next thing you know people are going to be covering their chrome parts with hand-tool grip spraypaint.
