He painted the gas cap (that is what plasti-dip is) as for the tail lights, I don't know. The OP can chime in there, but I'm guessing ebay.

Yep! Plastic-Dipp and the tails are from eBay, they were like 35 bucks. I would have stayed stock but my stock tails were all faded. For 35 bucks, I don't think you can beat it, and they have a couple different colors for the housing as well!

Yeah... most was plasti-dipped, the emblem covers and door handle covers are from here http://www.aestheticreations.net/moldedparts.htm , didn't want to mess with painting them. The gas cap cover was chrome from outmotoring.com, and I plasti-dipped it. Just painted my rims gloss black, will post soon. Ebay has a plethera of Mini stuff. Personally I really like the tail lights, definatly gives the rear of the car more dimension.

-Oh and also got the black vinyl strip for the trim line around the windows from outmotoring.

hey guys, i too want to get rid of all the chrome on my new MINI cooper, which has a lot of chrome, all the bumper isnerts and fog lights as well.

to me it looks like these chrome bits are just stuck on over the top, comparing them next to my old ONE which didnt have the chrome inserts, they're bulkier and dont seem to be connected to the bumper i.e. you can stick your nail inbetween them and the bumper. Does anybody know how to get them off?
