I just got my Mini and the only way I could find the packages/colors I wanted without ordering was to take a cloth interior instead of leather.

My question is, can I get leather seat covers that don't look like they are covers? or am I stuck going to an upholsterer to have the seats recovered...

 

Yep, check out katzkin leather kits. Excellent quality and when installed you won't be able to tell the car didn't come with leather. If you are a DIYer, you can install them yourself, but make it a weekend project. Installing leather takes some practice, but it's easy.

 

I second the Katzkin. I had it done on my clubman. Looks awesome. Good quality leather.
