Mini Service, Modifications and Parts near Boston, MA
Hi all,
I was wondering if you anyone could recommend a good independent Mini mechanic near the Boston area. (Note: I’ve read a few post recommendations for Greasy’s Garage in Worcester MA, but this is way to far form me, I am in Quincy MA and I just don’t have time to get to Worcester).
I have a 2008 Mini Cooper S (hardtop) and I thinking of having some minor modifications done, such as interior accessories, new wheels/ tires and maybe install and aerokit (or something similar to it), add driving lights, etc. I would like to avoid dealer prices, that why I look for an independent mechanic.
Any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

I drive over an hour to Greasy's. It is not a bad drive.
I know Turner motorsporst in Amesbury works on Gen1 cars...never used them....and 3d autoworks in Hudson NH dabbles a bit in gen1 mini's. I haven't used either...even though one is only a few miles from my house...Greasy's is just that good.

Thank all for the quick and detailed responses. After reading your responses, I feel compelled to drive to Worcester and try Greasy’s even though it is 1 hour+ form my house! Thanks again!
Takes me about an hour to get down there myself.
Just remember, the new shop just opened... It is a work in progress...so be sure to get the right address!! The current website should be right...just google it!!

dsg is great as achan mentioned, but they are real busy all the time, its tough to setup an appointment. i called yesterday and they say they could set one up for me in 2 weeks.
Unique Custom Exhaust in stoneham,ma is great. they do everything over there, are fairly cheap, know what theyre doing (most importantly), and they are real nice and easy going people. give the owner, anthony, a call!

well tbh...if your a frequent customer..and/or if you drive a high end/unique/rare vehicle..they put you on the top of the list. I know they took an old mini cooper and did a b18 swap..or some motor like that..i forgot..it was years ago.
lol well im guessing the creator of this thread is not a frequent customer because hes asking for a shop to go to which means he hasnt been there, and i wouldnt really consider our cars to be exactly high end/unique/rare. dont get me wrong we have great cars but they are not ferraris lol.... but as i mentioned before, they are a great shop with great service, they're just a little busy especially this time of year
