I want one of these so bad. How did it go? Any troubles or tips for other DIY-ers?

Let's see some pics please!

roof

i was finally able to upload the pics

just take your time to measure start with the rear of the mini
i started with the one right in front of the antenna and then closed off the back
then moved my way forward

spray bottle with water and a few drops of soap
get a squege kit at your local auto parts store they are usually by the window tint

order a few extra squares in case you need to adjust a square or mess one up

http://chuforiagraffix.com/ is very economical in prices i haveused them in the past for other cars

Thanks a bunch! Those both look awesome... I've been looking for something to do for a roof graphic that wouldn't cover up my sunroof and is not too expensive. I love the looks of the matte black: it's subtle, and isn't the black/white checkered (which i like, but see all the time).

aztech1382: What size squares did you use?

TWISTER: What about your squares?

I'm thinking of doing something sized in between...although bigger would be easier!

I am reviving this year old thread! AWAKE ZOMBIE THREAD.

I was actually thinking of doing matte checkered roof to my '11 MINI. I have a sunroof though - would this still look good? Should I stick with just regular matte squares or would perforated ruin the look? I don't really mind partially covering the sunroof. Just looking for opinions!

Thanks.

I just had a graphic put on my sunroof and opted for non-perforated. It really keeps the heat down, plus it looks cool from inside.
Love the matte look, post pics if you do it!

Matte black checks on 2011 Clubman

I had the matte black checkerboard wrapped installed on my 2011 Clubman a couple of weeks ago. I had the whole roof covered to include the sunroof. I did not pay the extra for the perforated part that covers the sunroof because it cost more. You can see the black squares when you look up thru the sunroof while in the car. I don't mind it and really like anything that helps block the sun. In fact I plan to have 5% tint or either ceramic tint install which will completely block out the light in the sunroof.
