Interior/Exterior Black intercooler grill???
I'm wondering if anyone here has any idea where I might be able to get a black intercooler grill similar to this one from Cooper Accessories?

I'm just not a fan of the aluminum look and black would just make the grill "disappear" under the hood scoop.
I've tried looking through most of the other sponsor sites that I thought might carry something but maybe I've missed something.
Anybody?

that grill plus $1.79 can of back spray paint (gloss or flat). that would be your best option i think.

I have a photo of one i took off a site somewhere but I don't know how to put it in here to show you. if you want to pm me with your e-mail i can put it in a regular e-mail to you. i have to find out where i got the photo and then get the price and vender and let you know later.
I'm afraid you will be very unhappy if you paint what you have.

Spray paint works well, but you'll have to touch it up every now and then. Since the screen comes out so easily it's no big deal to do this. I've had mine installed for about 6 months, including summer in NC, and haven't had any problems with curtailed air flow or cooling problems.
By the way, you might want ot think about painting it body color to blend in better.

There are several choices.
Body color, black-flat or glossy, silver or other.
Maybe a clear coat would make it more durable.
Powercoating would be quite durable.
Chromed???
Regular spray paint would chip easily-maybe some extra coats.

Robyn,
I actually purchased some carbon color aluminum screen material from Home Depot and cut a piece to fit the top of the intercooler rather than the hood scoop. I also cut a piece to protect the entire radiator. Doesn't give you the issue with the look of the scoop yet keeps everything off the cooling fins of the intercooler and radiator. Just remove the plastic intercooler cover and lay a piece of screen in there with the four holes cut out. The radiator piece is held in by the rubber weatherstripping at the top.

Tried to get a picture of mine to turn out, but with all that DS/B and the black aero grille, the hood scoop grille just gets lost.
You mentioned the intercooler grille from Cooper Accessories, are you willing to give it a try yourself? If so about 5 minutes of work to get the scoop off (2 screws and 2 nuts) some alum gutter guard ($1.97) from your local Home Depot and about another 15 minutes of tracing, cutting and painting and you've saved a bunch.
There's enough screen leftover to do another. I've had mine ever since I saw Moorlockx's this past summer and no problems.
