New MCS owner, want to black it out.

Hello all!

I am now a proud owner of a Pepper White 2010 MCS! I picked the little guy up last night and I couldn't be happier with my decision (had a down payment on a Volvo C30 ).

Anyway, I was wondering what people are using to black out the chrome accents on the Mini, specifically around the headlights and grille? I'd like to eliminate as much chrome as possible and go with a black and white look. Are there aftermarket trim kits I can pick up or is everyone painting it themselves?

Thanks for the info!

Check these guys out for an easy solution to blacking out: http://www.aestheticreations.net/moldedparts.htm

Myself, I prefer to send my parts to a painter because the quality looks better along with lasting longer. I choose to paint my chrome parts body color instead of the usual black.

If you want to do it on the cheap side, you can run down to your local Home Depot or Lowes and pick up some stuff called Plasti-Dip. It's a plastic type paint that will coat your part. If and when you choose you don't like the look any more, you can simply peel the stuff off.
