Does anyone have the Momo Short Anatomic Leather Shift **** installed and if so, do you have a picture you can post of it in the vehicle? Additionally, what do you think of the quality and fit.

Thanks for any help.

I have it. Perhaps I can take a pic at lunch for you. The stock one is shorter so this one increases the shift throw. I love the feel of it.

I loved the looks of the stock one but damn, it gets freakin cold!

I like that one too. I'm surprised that it would increase the throw by much. It looks tiny! I also like the Combat Leather and Aluminum one too, but it looks looooooong. Anybody got one of these yet?

I like the look of this **** too, have been considering it myself. A question for those that have changed their ***** (...i said ***** ;^) how do you indicate the gear positions if they are not on the ****? I know, i already know where the positions are, but what if someone else drives the car, like valet or something like that? How do they know it's a 6-speed and where the positions are??

Hmmm. I'm not wild about that look. It looks like it attaches strangely. Care to elaborate? Do all the MOMOs attach that way?

Thanks for posting the pics. I see what you mean about it being "taller". I too wonder about how it attaches.

If you gys do a search for "momo shifht ****" There was someone a while back that filed down the plastic part that the stock **** sits on. This lets the new **** sit further down on the shifter so that it is actually a little shorter than stock height. I am getting a momo **** for christmas, so I have been looking into this for a while

Install, put both seat benches all the way back. slightly tilt the seat backs. straddle the ebrake (carefully), watch out for your chin and sunroof (i opened my roof for better leverage). Pull the stocker off. Place in glove box or your desk as a paperweight.

Unscrew the brushed aluminum ring from the new shifter. there at 3 threaded holes on the shaft under where the ring goes on. Put the loose ring on the shift shaft. select the proper rubber bushing included in the momo kit. pre-screw the srews that came with the kit. pop and press down hard to seat the shifter. Align it. then tighten all screws in a circle being careful not to overtighten any one of them of the shift **** wil be off balance and then the ring may not screw on. Lather rinse and repeat the alternate tightening and then slide the ring up and screw it on hand tight.

I might see if I can get my shifter lower on the shaft this weeknd. Well, just maybe. The weather is so nice I'll be on my sportbike most of the weekend

No filing for me.

Awesome. Looks like I can get it to go down about another .25" and let it rest on the flange.

Time to break out the persuaders [1]

yeah, that plastic ring is a mother, I wish it would go away, but I guess a large piece of wood would do the trick. The one thing I have done was to push the **** as far I could and still leave enough room to get the allen wrench in to tighten the screws and then do the final threading of the trim ring.

As in a previous post. A followup.

I got the shifter right down on the flange itself. Loosening and resetting the set-screws of the MOMO shifter allowed me to use my (I fiorget the term) hammer with a block of wood as a "cushion" let me set the MOMO right don where it ought to be.

No filing, no "lease" infraction. The stock shift know will still go right on in perfect fashion.

No pictures until me and phobol and his camera are back at work this coming week. And it might be a rough week so bear that in mind. thanks.

But the MOMO sits right on the flange nice! I recommend the mod.

I was wondering how this exactly worked. Do you basically just tighten the screws, and then pound the shift **** down with a hammer. If the shift **** moves down the shifter, doesn't that mean that it isn't attached very tightly. I got my Momo shift **** yesterday, and am looking at how I want to install it with the least amount of alteration
