I want to put my racing harness from my old car into my new MINI but it seems like you would have to remove the entire seat to get at the female end of the belt. Is this the only way to do it or does someone know a trick?

No trick, but removing the seat takes 5 minutes...you'll have to have your airbag light reset though. There are four bolts and depending on whether you have seat heaters or not, four wiring harnesses to disconnect. Don't have any pics of this however...sorry.
