Looks great MC 2.. I used your template to make my front splitter..
I guess the dip/reverse ridge/roll or whatever you want to call it in the middle of the wing is to help with stability of it. ( Keep it from flopping around.)
Any idea how it does at speed. I've heard the OEM one has a whistle at speed..
Keep up the great work..

Mmmmm, just not feelin the scalloped side plates. Is the top wing close enough to the roof line ? Because of the inherent design of the hatchback in general, our Mini's have an upward spun turbulance from the lower bumper which may inhibit the performance you are looking for. As far back as it is, it could actually end up creating rear lift.
Two more things you may want to consider:
-Will this fly off the back of my car into a motorists windshield ? Manufacturers of auto accessories such as these are required to carry liability insurance for products they develope and market.
-Will wind tunnel testing help improve design/function before production ?
-Any copyright/patent infringements ?
While I encourage MINI ingenuity and the cottage industry as a whole, I would just proceed with these things in mind.
