I hate chrome!

Just got my MINI a month ago... 2010 right off the boat. For some reason I have the chrome trim line only on my doors. All the trim on the dash is that hazy silver which I like. I don't know if they all are like this but it annoys me. I got rid of the chrome on the shifter **** (whose trim around the boot is silver) by ordering a Whalen 8-ball shifter. I have found the circle trim for the speakers on the door in brushed steel and polished steel (not sure which is more like the silver trim yet). Also found the circle trim around the door release handle. I have not found the interior door latch handle in anything but chrome in aftermarket parts yet. And it's plastic! Plastic?!?! They did such a great job designing these things and they install a crappy chrome plastic handle?

so...

Has anyone found a silver trim line package that covers all my bases?... or are there any better built door release handles out there? If not are there any that aren't chrome?

As soon as I finish the interior...I'm gonna dechrome the outside!

Post an add up in the marketplace. I'm sure someone would trade with you.

You could just paint them.

I would definetly put an add up in the market place. Heck, I actually made the switch from silver to the chrome line interior pieces (adds a special retro feel imo). I know there are others out there who are looking to do the same as I did. If not, just buy the silver trim pieces your looking for from Morristown MINI. Thats where I bought mine, and they offer a discount to NAM members.

Interior door handle

Thanks for info on the trim but what about the door handle. Are there any aluminum door handles out there...or anything other than plastic? other than chrome? Are they all chrome?
